Arby’s 10-gallon hat, once an icon of Sunset Boulevard, shines again at Stagecoach

Arby’s brought the meats — and a piece of the Sunset Strip — to the desert.

The fast-food chain made its debut at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival 2026 in Indio this weekend, setting up a Western-themed “meat-up spot” just behind the Mane Stage, according to the Orange County Register.

The pop-up is styled like a retro diner, complete with a vintage Arby’s sign shaped like a 10-gallon hat — a piece of Southern California history that once stood outside the iconic, now-closed Sunset Boulevard location.

The Hollywood landmark was 86’d in 2024, but the sign has found new life in the desert, where it’s now surrounded by hay bales and doubling as a photo op for festivalgoers.

The sign flickered to life — mostly — around 7:30 p.m. Friday as crowds poured out of the Mane Stage following Ella Langley’s set. Its neon message, “Arby’s Roast Beef Sandwich is delicious,” glowed in orange and pink, though the B in “Beef” appeared to be on the fritz.

Earlier in the day, Arby’s leaned fully into its “We have the meats” slogan, handing out free barbecued brisket and pulled pork sliders with fries. The giveaway proved so popular that supplies ran out well before the neon sign lit up…

Earlier this week, Arby’s posted a series of cheeky billboard-style images ahead of the festival — including slogans like “Hold me like a sandwich, cowboy” and “All boots, no brisket? We can fix that” — alongside the caption, “Hauling these meats to @stagecoach.”
