Police are searching for an unhinged suspect who slapped a stranger and sicced his dog on him in a Manhattan subway station — resulting in the fido biting the victim several times.

A 54-year-old man was inside the Union Square subway station around 5:20 p.m. on Saturday when a verbal dispute broke out between him and an unidentified man over the man’s dog, according to the NYPD.

The man then slapped the 54-year-old in the face, removed his dog’s muzzle, and ordered the large pet to attack him, cops said.

The victim was bitten by the dog and sustained several lacerations to his left hand, according to police.

The suspect then fled the subway station with the dog to an unknown area.

EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to NYU Langone Tisch Hospital, in stable condition.

Photos released by cops show the alleged attacker walking the leashed, muzzled brown dog in the subway station while wearing a large black hat with fur trim, a long camouflage coat, blue jeans, and black shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
