If you like to think of yourself as quite the knowledgeable wrestling fan, particularly when it comes to WWE, we’ve got the perfect quiz to test your mettle.
Here, the task at hand is to name every person to have ever officially held what is nowadays commonly known as simply the WWE Championship and is currently the top men’s prize on the SmackDown brand. This is a championship belt that dates all the way back to 1963 and, at times, has also been known as the Undisputed WWE Championship and WWE World Heavyweight Championship, amongst other monikers, and has lasted throughout the old World Wide Wrestling Federation Days to the World Wrestling Federation days, and now obviously here in World Wrestling Entertainment.
The bigger question is, just how well do you know the lineage of that most prestigious of titles, though?
As a few points to get out of the way before you get started, you only have to name each title holder once rather than acknowledging multiple separate title reigns, and for those older fans amongst you, no, the reigns of Ted DiBiase and Antonio Inoki are not included here, as neither reign is officially recognised by WWE. Despite the lack of DiBiase and Inoki, though, there are still over 50 men – some of the greatest names to ever lace up a pair of boots – to have held the biggest prize in the business.
