In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey revealed that Chelsea are among the clubs hoping to land Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic. It has been claimed that the Blues would have to compete with Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Everton in the race to sign the Serbian striker this summer.
Vlahovic’s Important Role At Juventus Last Season
The 26-year-old struggled to nail down a regular first-team place at the Turin club but managed to put in a run of productive displays as the focal point of their attack. Vlahovic banged in ten goals and earned two assists in 23 matches for Juventus in the previous campaign in all competitions.
The Serbian talent is currently one of the most talented forwards in Serie A. Hence, it won’t be easy for the Blues to lure him to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Vlahovic is under contract at the Allianz Stadium until the end of this month, which could open the door for Chelsea to sign him on a free transfer this off-season.

Vlahovic excels at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to engineer some decent chances for his teammates in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.
The Serbian sensation can chip in by scoring a handful of important goals for his team. However, he is far from a consistent goal-scorer and would need time to adjust to life in the Premier League if the Blues manage to land him this summer.
We can expect Vlahovic to add more quality and depth to Chelsea head coach Xabi Alonso’s frontline. He is more than capable of earning a regular first-team spot at Stamford Bridge next season.
