A mass shooting early Saturday in Maryland, left six people wounded, including two children, according to local authorities.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department said in a statement on X that patrol officers responded to an “unknown disturbance” at about 4:40 a.m. in the suburban community of Hanover outside Baltimore, where they found a large crowd actively dispersing and a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso.

EMS took the man to a local hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.
