The Los Angeles Dodgers’ final game of a three-game series against the Washington Nationals will start after a delay due to inclement weather.
Neither team has announced the duration of the delay, but the expectation is that the game will be played today, per MLB.com’s Sonja Chen.
What Does the Dodgers’ Lineup Look Like for the Series Finale?
The Dodgers had to make some adjustments to their lineup Sunday, as shortstop Mookie Betts left Saturday’s game with what appeared to be a back injury. The Dodgers learned he suffered a right oblique strain after an MRI, and are set to place him on the injured list.
With that being the case, the Dodgers will field the following lineup for their game against the Nationals.
1. Shohei Ohtani, DH
2. Miguel Rojas, SS
3. Teoscar Hernandez, LF
4. Freddie Freeman, 1B
5. Andy Pages, CF
6. Alex Call, RF
7. Santiago Espinal, 3B
8. Dalton Rushing, C
9. Alex Freeland, 2B
Roki Sasaki will make his second start of the year following the delay, and will look to have another convincing performance on the mound after his promising outing against the Cleveland Guardians earlier in the week.
He allowed one run though four innings pitched, striking out four batters.
“I was able to find the mechanics, so I think that really worked out,” he said through an interpreter following the game.

How Have the Dodgers Played During this Series?
While they’re on their first road trip of the season, the Dodgers have looked right at home against the Nationals.
They hit five home runs in a 13-5 win in the series opener, putting any doubts to bed about the potency of their lineup following a slow start to the year. They also scored double digit runs in the second game of the season, winning 10-5 with the help of another fantastic performance from Andy Pages.
Pages has been the Dodgers’ best hitter eight games into the season, as he’s currently batting .500 and has a 1.349 OPS.
His three home runs and 10 RBIs lead the team, and his performances moved him up in the lineup from eighth to fifth in the span of a couple of games.
The Dodgers will hope the rain delay doesn’t take the wind out of their sails, as they’re looking to earn their second sweep of the season with a win Sunday.
