Bryan Johnson, the eccentric US tech millionaire, has stunningly admitted he may have gone too far in his quest to defy death.
The 48-year-old made the candid confession on X on Wednesday following his diagnosis with an autoimmune disease.
“Been thinking things over and wonder if I’ve taken this whole longevity thing too far,” he wrote.
It comes just over a week after the entrepreneur claimed he cloned himself as a newborn baby to harvest the organs, describing the science fiction-sounding plan as a “frontier of new paths” to reverse aging.
“I just cloned myself…as a newborn,” Johnson wrote on X on last Tuesday. “This may be scary to some people…a dystopian future.”
In recent years, Johnson, a California-based venture capitalist, has become notorious for his attempts to defy death and reverse the aging process.
He has spent approximately $10 million on longevity research, health monitoring protocols, and even injecting himself with his son’s blood plasma, while following a strict regimen of supplements.
He has even referred to his teenage son as his “blood boy.”
However, with his recent admission that he has developed autoimmune gastritis, an incurable chronic condition affecting the stomach lining, Johnson appears to have had a change of heart.
Johnson has faced everything from derision to horror over his stunts, from sharing detailed reports about his wife’s vagina and the volume of microplastics in his sperm on social media, to claiming to have produced a newborn clone of himself.
