NEW DELHI: Gujarat Titans openers Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill continued their remarkable consistency with the bat in IPL 2026, powering themselves to the top two spots in the Orange Cap standings after stellar knocks against Chennai Super Kings in Ahmedabad on Thursday.

Sudharsan led the charge with a fluent 84 off 53 deliveries, reclaiming the Orange Cap with 638 runs from 14 matches this season. GT skipper Gill was equally impressive, smashing 64 off just 37 balls to move to second place with 616 runs from 14 games.

With both batters crossing the coveted 600-run mark, Gujarat Titans now boast the two highest run-scorers of IPL 2026 heading into the playoffs. Their dominant opening partnership has played a massive role in GT finishing the league stage strongly and consolidating a top-two spot in the points table.

The duo’s latest exploits pushed Vaibhav Sooryavanshi down from the top of the Orange Cap leaderboard to third place. The teenage sensation from Rajasthan Royals has enjoyed a sensational breakthrough season and currently has 579 runs from 13 matches.

Mitchell Marsh of Lucknow Super Giants occupies fourth place with 563 runs, while Heinrich Klaasen of Sunrisers Hyderabad rounds off the top five with 555 runs.
