The world’s oldest watchmaker in continuous operation is popping up in the Hamptons.

Vacheron Constantin, the luxury horological house based in Geneva, Switzerland, has unveiled a tony space in London Jewelers’ East Hampton boutique. The activation at 2 Main St. will remain open through Sept. 6.

“At London Jewelers, we are always looking for meaningful ways to connect our clients with the world’s most exceptional brands,” says Mark Udell, CEO of London Jewelers, which is celebrating its centenary this year. “Partnering with Vacheron Constantin for this exclusive Hamptons pop-up allows us to create an immersive experience that celebrates extraordinary design, timeless elegance, and the enduring legacy of one of Switzerland’s most revered watchmakers. We are delighted to welcome clients to discover the Maison in such a distinctive setting throughout the summer season.”

The heritage brand – one of the Holy Trinity of Swiss watchmaking alongside Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet – was founded in 1755 by 24-year-old master watchmaker Jean-Marc Vacheron. In 1819, a partnership between the master watchmaker and founder’s grandson, Jacques Barthélémi Vacheron, and businessman François Constantin, led to the name Maison Vacheron Constantin. In 1880, the Maltese cross became the official emblem of the house.

Famed for its complex mechanical innovations, exceptional craftsmanship and refined style, VC watches are rocked by celebrities ranging from Brad Pitt, LeBron James, Tom Cruise and Edward Norton to Jennifer Garner. Historical figures who wore the brand include Princess Diana – whose magnificent diamond cocktail watch was given to her by Queen Elizabeth II as a 1981 wedding gift – and Harry Truman.

The pop-up is located on the third floor of the store and will be open Thursday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday from noon. to 5 p.m.

Appointments are recommended.
