A MAN has died in front of horrified shoppers at an Asda after suffering from a “medical incident”.

Emergency services rushed to the scene at the Asda West Swindon superstore just before 5pm on Friday.

The man was found in cardiac arrest, with paramedics trying to save his life after the “medical incident”, local media reported.

Despite efforts to save his life, the man died at around 5:30pm.

Cops do not believe there is any foul play involved in his death and no arrests have been made.

Shocked passers-by told the Adver that the Asda store was temporarily shut down.

Customers were reportedly asked to leave the supermarket by staff amid the ordeal.

Wiltshire Police said: “This relates to a medical incident which officers supported ambulance colleagues with.

“We were called to Asda, West Swindon, at 4.55pm following reports of a male in cardiac arrest.

“Extensive efforts were made to save the man’s life, but he sadly died around 40 minutes later.

“The death is being treated as non-suspicious and no one has been arrested.”
