A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a coach passenger was stabbed on a motorway.
Emergency services were called at around 8.15am today following reports of a stabbing on the M6.
The victim was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The incident happened on the M6 Toll southbound between junction seven and eight near Cannock.
A 41-year-old man, from Northumberland, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and remains in custody.
The M6 Toll was closed for a short time at around 8.50am but has now reopened.
