Detroit Tigers ace Tarik Skubal was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday, Aug. 1, and the initial reaction from baseball fans is pretty universal: Of course it’s the Dodgers.
The two-time defending World Series champs were the winners of the Skubal sweepstakes, sending Zyhir Hope, River Ryan, and Brady Smith to Detroit.

Of course, we can’t fully evaluate a trade until all careers pan out, but when you trade a back-to-back Cy Young award winner, you likely won’t end on the positive side of public opinion.
