Morgan Wallen Charts A Milestone No. 1 Hit Alongside Another Superstar

Morgan Wallen’s catalog is packed with hits, and there are plenty of collaborations with fellow country artists. He has scored big wins alongside names like Post Malone, Ernest, Hardy, and plenty of other men, but only a few women.

Wallen landed his first major smash with a female artist on the Billboard charts last year when his album I’m The Problemfinally arrived. By that point, the song “What I Want,” a collaboration with Canadian pop singer Tate McRae, had been chosen as its latest focus track, and the tune shot straight to the summit on a variety of tallies, including the Billboard Hot 100.

Wallen is back with one of his very few team-ups with female acts, and this time, he’s collaborated with the most successful woman in the field at the moment, Ella Langley. The two genre powerhouses recently shared “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” which becomes an instant No. 1 on several rosters in the United States.

Morgan Wallen And Ella Langley Debut At No. 1

“I Can’t Love You Anymore” launches atop both the Digital Song Sales and Country Digital Song Sales charts this week, the only two tallies where it sits at No. 1. Billboard reports that the song, which was added to the track list of her sophomore album Dandelion shortly after it was released, sold 10,000 copies in the U.S. during its first full tracking period of availability.

Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” Opened the Door

Both musicians have already reached the summit on the charts where “I Can’t Love You Anymore” leads, though Langley is relatively new to that position. “Choosin’ Texas” has stood out as her bestseller since it dropped earlier this year and changed the course of her career. A number of songs featured on Dandelion missed out on controlling the Country Digital Song Sales chart, as they could not best the all-powerful “Choosin’ Texas.”

Morgan Wallen Has Already Earned 10 (or More) No. 1s

Wallen is now very familiar with debuting singles at No. 1 on both rankings, which are centered entirely around purchases. “I Can’t Love You Anymore” marks his milestone tenth leader on the Digital Song Sales roster, which is not specific to any one style. He’s up to 19 No. 1s – nearly twice as many – on the Country Digital Song Sales roster.

Looking at total top 10s, Wallen’s numbers are even more impressive. “I Can’t Love You Anymore” brings him to the highest tier on the Digital Song Sales chart for the thirty-fifth time – another milestone. If he can collect one more top 10 smash on the Country Digital Song Sales list, Wallen will reach 50 top 10 bestsellers, with fewer than 10 of his tunes that have reached the ranking missing out on ruling.

Morgan Wallen and Ella Langley Debut on Several Charts

Upon its arrival, “I Can’t Love You Anymore” launches on nine rankings shared by Billboard each week, and it begins its time inside the top 10 on half a dozen in total. Setting aside the two sales rosters, “I Can’t Love You Anymore” enters highest on another pair of country lists. The male-female duet is new at No. 3 on both the Hot Country Songs and Country Streaming Songs charts. “I Can’t Love You Anymore” opens in fifth place on the all-style Streaming Songs tally – Wallen’s thirtieth top 10, yet another landmark number – and at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“I Can’t Love You Anymore” Arrives at Radio

Among the three Billboard charts where “I Can’t Love You Anymore” debuts, but misses the uppermost tier, the song starts highest on the Country Airplay tally. On that list, it’s new at No. 19, which is an impressive opening position for any piece of music on what is often considered the most competitive of all of Billboard’s radio rankings.

“I Can’t Love You Anymore” misses the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. entirely, but manages to debut at No. 30 on the Billboard Global 200. The single is off to a low, if fast, beginning on the Radio Songs rundown. On that 50-space register, “I Can’t Love You Anymore” is new at No. 49.
