His recent underwhelming performances can be solely attributed to his injury and a challenging road back to full fitness. He’s been close to fleeing in the past, and perhaps the time has come, especially if they’ll have a new coach. They’ll have to add at least one pure midfielder, but they’ll must decide on the newcomer’s caliber. Their current scheme works better with McTominay a few meters back and a speedster next to De Bruyne.
