The USC Trojans have made numerous additions this offseason in order to improve the team and finally reach contention in college football. The Big Ten is only getting better, and the landscape of college football is rapidly changing. The Trojans, however, are currently in the mindset of an offseason in which they signed the top recruiting class in college football, and so far in spring practice, they are catching eyes.
In a recent tweet, USC reporter Scott Schrader of On3 revealed that he is fully buying into USC. After seeing the team’s early spring ball practices, Schrader appears optimistic about the long-term future of the program.
“Not sure what’ll happen in 2026, but after watching #USC practice on Friday, I’m sure as heck buying stock in that program,” Schrader wrote.
Buzz is continuing to increase around the USC Trojans heading into a pivotal season for Lincoln Riley. Riley made a heavy emphasis to improve the defense this offseason with the hire of legendary coach Gary Patterson to serve as USC’s defensive coordinator. The Trojans’ young players are shining each day in practice.
It may still be early in spring ball, with actual games not kicking off for over five months. However, in order to win during the season, teams need to have successful workouts during the spring and summer. So far, Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans are doing just that. The season is a long way away, but This season is a long way away, but things are looking up for what should be a tough Big Ten team.
