Newark airport shuttle bus slams into concrete barrier, injuring 13

An employee shuttle bus crashed into a concrete barrier at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey early Monday, injuring 13 people, according to local reports.

The crash happened shortly after 3 a.m. on the Terminal B Departures Level 3 roadway, News 12 New Jersey reported.

Three people suffered serious injuries, while 10 others sustained minor injuries, according to the report. None of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.

Video obtained by Fox News Digital showed the badly damaged shuttle bus still pressed against the concrete barrier in the aftermath of the crash. The front end appeared crumpled, while glass from the bus door and windshield were shattered.

Police tape surrounded the crash site as first responders worked nearby.

The injured were transported to area hospitals for evaluation and treatment, according to WABC-TV.

The crash prompted authorities to close the Terminal B Departures Level 3 roadway as crews worked to clear debris from the area.

The Port Authority Police Department advised passengers departing from Terminal B to be dropped off on Level 2 because of the police activity.

Authorities have not released the cause of the crash.
