FRIENDS of a “loving” dad-of-five who tragically died after a motorbike crash have rallied around his heartbroken partner.
Gary Pidgley, 48, was fatally struck while riding his Suzuki motorbike in Louth, Lincolnshire, on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency crews were scrambled to North Holme Road shortly after 1.45pm following reports of a serious collision.
Cops confirmed the two vehicles involved in the horror smash were a white Movano van and a Suzuki motorbike.
Despite the best efforts of medical teams, Gary sadly died at the scene.
Releasing a heartbreaking tribute through Lincolnshire Police, his partner Tara described him as “my person”.
And tributes flooded in from Gary’s devastated pals on social media.
One said: “Gary was an amazing bloke who took my son under his wing when it came to his biking…
“… always giving him sound advice and support along with a cheeky smile and a up lifting comment when my son needed it.
“Truly a great man and our thoughts and love are being sent to all his family.”
Another penned: “A diamond of a guy. RIP Gal. Thoughts with all family and friends.”
Alongside a sweet picture of Gary with his son, Tara said: “Gary, a father who had 4 daughters and a 9 month old son, who he adored.
“He was a very good friend, a loving father and wonderful partner to me. He was cheeky, with the best laugh and sense of humour.
“He was a selfless man and would do anything for anybody without hesitation. He will be sorely missed.
“Gary, was my person, and I was his. We had so many plans. Our lives will never be the same. I love him so much and will forever miss him.
“His loss is beyond words.”
A police investigation remains ongoing into the crash, with cops calling on witnesses to come forward.
The force said: “We are appealing for anyone who was in the area of the collision or witnessed the collision to get in touch.
“We would also like to speak to anyone who may have video footage of either vehicle.
“Anyone who is able to help is asked to email the Investigating Officer at SCIUinvestigators@lincs.police.uk or call 01522212316.
“The family have asked for privacy at this time to allow them to start to grieve and come to terms with their loss.”
