Patriots’ Best Offensive Line Option Has Familiarity With Coaching Staff

The New England Patriots have plenty of positions to address during free agency: edge, wide receiver, offensive line, linebacker, tight end.

It’s not going to be easy to check all of those boxes, though…

If the club intends on putting itself in a position to regularly contend, it will have to put together another near-flawless offseason — which could mean filling their sudden need along the offensive line with someone like Las Vegas Raiders offensive lineman Dylan Parham.

Let’s take a look!

Bio:

Dylan Parham
Position: IOL
Height: 6’ 2″
Weight: 332lbs
2026 Age: 27 (Aug. 24, 1999)
2025: 15 G, 6 SCK ALL, 28 PRS ALL

The Patriots should sign Dylan Parham because:

Josh McDaniels will be pushing for it…

Parham was the first player drafted during McDaniels’ tenure in Las Vegas, and despite there being some early struggles, eventually developed into an incredibly steady presence along the offensive line — leading to an overall grade of 74.3 (18/77) in 2024, according to Pro Football Focus.

Parham has improved across all four of his seasons, never allowing more than six sacks in a season and decreasing the number of quarterback pressures allowed in each season — all while playing left guard, right guard, and center.

If you’re looking for someone who can immediately assimilate to the offensive system and serve as a steady presence between Will Campbell and Jared Wilson, this just might be the guy!

The Patriots should not sign Dylan Parham because:

It’s not like he’s the best option…

New England could swing for the fences on someone like Alijah Vera-Tucker or Zion Johnson, which would immediately raise the ceiling of an offensive unit that already is expected to finish among the most productive in the NFL in 2026 — though that would be rather risky considering the former can’t stay healthy and the latter seemingly just started to figure things out.

You gotta risk it to get the biscuit, though!

Best Fits:

1. New England Patriots
2. Buffalo Bills
3. Cincinnati Bengals

Parham should have multiple suitors, especially considering how few players available on the open market have been as healthy as he has throughout his career. New England will have the upper hand on whoever it decides to target, however, as it can provide the opportunity to play and to win.
