Ahead of the home opener on Thursday, the Phillies held a preview party Tuesday night to showcase new fan destinations at Citizens Bank Park.

Hundreds of VIP guests attended the event to experience the newly renovated Cadillac Hall of Fame Club and the reimagined New Era Phillies Team Store.

The team also debuted the updated Cooperstown Gallery – a display that celebrates the history of the club through milestones and memorabilia.

Phillies Managing Partner John Middleton said they worked to make these improvements ahead of the MLB All-Star game, which is being held at the ballpark this summer.

“When the world comes to Philadelphia, they see parts of a really beautiful future for the ballpark,” Middleton said.

New food options at the ballpark were also on display, including items inspired by players like Jesús Luzardo and Cristopher Sánchez.

Sánchez is the starting pitcher for Thursday’s home opener.

“The most important thing is I feel healthy. So it’s just go out there and give my 100 percent,” he told Action News.

Phillies legends Cole Hamels and Ryan Howard also attended Tuesday night’s party. Howard spoke about the excitement that always surrounds the start of the season.

“You can feed off the fans, feel the electricity as you’re walking through, and just get ready for the season to start,” he said.

Speaking about this upcoming season, Middleton said, “I think this is a team we expect to win, and win a lot and be in the postseason. And do some real damage in the postseason.”
