A PRISON officer who boasted daily sex with a violent lag was the “best ever” and shared explicit messages about her “little booty” has been jailed.
Charlotte Winstanley had a three-month fling with convicted thug Jabhari Blair, 29, at HMP Lindholme in South Yorkshire.
The 29-year-old traded a string of messages with the inmate about their sex life – including how she was thinking about his “touch”.
Blair also messaged about her “sexy lips” and “little booty” and spoke of his desire to give her a “beautiful baby”.
Winstanley responded: “I’m literally, literally praying to have your baby.”
She also bragged to a colleague that she was “having sex daily and it was the best sex she ever had”.
The ex-prison officer pleaded guilty to misconduct in a public office and taking an unauthorised photograph inside the Category C jail.
She also admitted smuggling in a mobile phone and SD cards for her lag lover.
Winstanley has now been jailed for two-and-a-half years at Sheffield Crown Court.
Jeremy Richardson, KC, the Recorder of Sheffield, said: “Regrettably I have dealt with several cases of woman prison officers having intimate relationships with prisoners.
“All have been imprisoned.
“By some considerable margin this case is by far the worst with which I have had to deal.”
Blair previously admitted possessing a controlled drug, namely cannabis, and two counts of possessing illicit items, which relate to a mobile phone and USB stick.
Sheffield Crown Court heard today the illicit relationship took place between August and November 2022.
Blair had been jailed for more than 12 years in 2014 for his role in a mass brawl in Bradford that saw victims stabbed, kicked, punched and stamped on.
Winstanley, who had been trained in corruption prevention, was posted to J Wing, where Blair was under her direct control.
Prosecutors described footage showing her leading Blair into a locked office, where they remained alone for three minutes.
Winstanley also arrived at the prison early and again took Blair into an office before her shift even began.
Later the same day, she escorted him back into an office for a further 40 minutes.
Aaron Dinnes, prosecuting, said: “They professed their love and engaged in detailed WhatsApp and Snapchat communications.
“They talked about the intimacy within their relationship, and Blair described that that he ‘can’t wait to give’ Winstanley ‘a beautiful baby’.
“The messages are explicit in nature and they discuss sex.
“They also discussed that Mondays are their date night, despite her being a prison officer and him being an inmate.”
The affair was rumbled when suspicious prison officers seized her phone.
Searches revealed Blair directing Winstanley to buy items on his behalf, including SIM cards and SD cards, and even pointing her to the Argos website to select what he wanted smuggled inside.
The court also heard that Winstanley met with Blair’s mum outside prison and shared confidential information – including sensitive plans to move him to another jail.
In one email, under the pseudonym ‘Debbie Embleton’, Winstanley told Blair: “Every sacrifice I made I did it so I could be with you.
“I love my job but I love you more.”
After being suspended from the prison service in November 2022, Winstanley registered to visit Blair at HMP Ranby in Nottinghamshire.
Winstanley is the latest in a long line of prison officers to be caught having an affair with an inmate.
Alicia Novas, 20, was jailed this week for romping with Declan Winkless an smuggling cannabis into HMP Five Wells in Wellingborough.
Last week, Isabella Dale was locked up after having romantic relationships with two lags while working at HMP Coldingley in Surrey.
Rebecca Pinckard was also recently imprisoned after she performed a sex act on an inmate, which was picked up on her bodyworn camera.
