A pro wrestler was killed in a head-on crash on Long Island that left another driver seriously injured — just months after returning to the ring.
Jordan Nasir St. Fort Colin, 23, was behind the wheel of his 2012 Nissan Altima when a Hyundai driver smashed into him on the Bethpage State Parkway on Friday morning, New York State Police told News12.
The Hyundai driver, who was left seriously injured, crossed into oncoming traffic before hitting the Nissan. Cops confirmed there were no passengers in either vehicle.
The Patchogue athlete, who was known as “Black Flash” Jordan Saint on the independent wrestling circuit, died just months after returning to in-ring competition.
He performed at Shooting Star Fest in Las Vegas, which took place in April during the week of WWE’s flagship event, WrestleMania.
“No fancy promo. I’m back fr,” he said, announcing his return in January.
“Professional wrestling was the only real love of my life. I didn’t want to step away, but life lifed [sic].”
Pandemonium Pro Wrestling bosses described Saint as “a very talented wrestler” and a “truly unbelievable human.”
“He was the finest example of what truly loving pro wrestling looked like,” the Texas promotion said.
“Nobody I’ve ever come across has loved pro wrestling more than Jordan Saint.”
“He touched so many people with his kindness, his passionate, his personality and his charm.
“Jordan never folded & never changed for anyone if it meant it sacrificed who he was. He wore his heart on his sleeve at all times and we loved him for it.”
Saint also performed for the Naptown All-Pro Wrestling promotion and bosses said he was “hardheaded and dedicated to his craft.”
“That passion for the art & sport of pro wrestling bled through in every action, and if you took the time to really be in his presence, the zeal he had for the squared circle was infectious,” organizers said.
“Hardheaded & dedicated to his craft, Jordan was quick to soak up knowledge. Combined with his superb athleticism, he took to all aspects of in-ring competition lightning fast.
“A true diamond-tier prospect, we’re heartbroken to know we won’t see his full potential achieved.
“Jordan exemplifies everything we want Naptown All Pro to be. An unrelenting desire to be oneself, an overwhelming commitment to community, a calling to uplift what’s right in the world, and a deep-rooted love for professional wrestling.”
TNA wrestler Bear Bronson said Saint’s death “broke” his heart.
“This dude was ALWAYS smiling. ALWAYS happy, ALWAYS so polite. And man, did he have incredible ability that blew away everyone in the room,” he wrote.
“He loved learning & absorbing information. A beautiful soul gone way, way too soon.”
Saint was set to be on the card at Pandemonium’s event “Burst and Decay” in Austin on August 2.
