DESPITE his partner’s frantic efforts to give him CPR a stongman died at home after taking steroids for his strict fitness training regime.

Bodhi Burgess King, 26, was taking steroids and testosterone for weight training when he collapsed at home.

An inquest heard his partner discovered Bodhi having a seizure in their bedroom in the middle of the night.

She leapt into action to perform CPR in a desperate attempt to save his life in Barry, South Wales, in February last year.

Paramedics arrived to carry out advanced life support but Bohdi, who worked as a blacksmith, was pronounced dead at the home.

A post-mortem examination heard he died as a result of cardiomegaly – or an enlarged heart.

A secondary cause of death was exogenous hormone use.

Assistant coroner David Regan said: “Bodhi King, aged 26, had a history of emotionally unstable personality disorder and used steroids and testosterone as part of weight training.

“At about 4.15am on the morning of February 10, 2025, his partner returned to their bedroom to find him suffering an apparent seizure.

“She called 999 and started CPR. Paramedics attended and commenced advanced life support but were unable to save Mr King’s life.”

The coroner recorded a conclusion of natural causes.

This comes just days after a famous health YouTuber and bodybuilder Park Seung-hyun died suddenly aged 35.

The popular fitness influencer had campaigned against steroids and previously admitted to his own drug use.

The popular South Korean bodybuilder – with over 830,000 subscribers – died on Sunday, February 1.

Park’s sudden death came as a shock because the influencer had uploaded YouTube videos just days before he passed away.
