Although the Gunners fell into the Seagulls’ trap and were comfortably beaten, many people still regard them as one of the leading teams in the division, with few doubting their ability to challenge for the Premier League title.
Arsenal remain in title contention
Arsenal have been impressive in many of their matches since the beginning of the season, and the Gunners will be determined to finish the campaign as strongly as possible. Their defeat to Brighton was a setback, but it has not necessarily changed the wider picture surrounding their title ambitions.
The men at the Emirates Stadium have also worked hard to remain close to the top of the standings, if not at the summit. However, the question remains whether Arsenal’s defeat to Brighton has affected their chances of winning the league title.
According to Sports Illustrated, a supercomputer has assessed the chances of the leading teams winning the Premier League by the end of the season. The prediction suggests that Arsenal’s position remains strong despite their recent defeat.

Supercomputer gives Arsenal strong chance
The supercomputer gave Arsenal a 43.52% chance of retaining the league title, while Manchester City’s chances were set at 40.96%, despite City currently sitting at the top of the standings.
The figures suggest that Arsenal remain closely involved in the title race, with City also presenting a significant challenge. The small difference between the two percentages indicates that the competition could remain close as the campaign develops.
Arsenal can therefore expect City to provide a serious challenge for the title this season. While the defeat to Brighton was not the result the Gunners would have wanted, the supercomputer’s assessment indicates that their chances of winning the league remain substantial. The team will now have to respond to the setback and maintain consistency in their remaining matches as they continue their pursuit of the Premier League title.
