A TEEN has pleaded guilty to killing his dad in a grim rampage that also left a woman and 11-year-old boy injured.
Emad Botros-Farag, 57, died at a home in Brighton in April last year as a child screamed: “No, No! Stop. Help! Help!”
His son Fabio Botros, 19, appeared at Lewes Crown Court today where he pleaded guilty to manslaughter, which was accepted by prosecutors.
He also admitted wounding with intent and attempted GBH in relation to the other two victims.
The court was told Botros, who was obsessed with horror films, was schizophrenic and psychotic at the time of the horror.
He was handed an indefinite hospital order when he was sentenced today.
An inquest heard previously how Emad was found at the house suffering from catastrophic injuries.
Horrified neighbours told how they heard “loud screaming and shouting” coming from the three-bedroom home.
A child was seen banging on an upstairs window urging locals to call the police.
Emad was found with significant head injuries and was declared dead shortly after.
A woman, 57, and an 11-year-old boy were rushed to hospital after also being injured in the bloodbath but have since been discharged.
Botros, who is known to the family, was arrested at the property and later charged.
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Cullimore said: “This was a shocking and tragic incident, and our thoughts are with those affected and their loved ones.
“Through our initial enquiries, it has been established that the victims and defendant are known to one another, and that the weapons involved are believed to be two knives and a hammer.
“We recognise the impact this incident has also had on the local community, and we want to reassure members of the public that charges have now been secured and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this investigation.
“Our officers remain in the area conducting enquiries, and we are grateful for the support and patience of the public.”
Anyone with information can call police on 101 quoting Operation Catullus.
