USWNT Captain Lindsey Heaps has her own new show—“The Captain,” which she will host with former USWNT teammate Sam Mewis on The Women’s Game from Men in Blazers Media Network. On the show, Heaps and Mewis will reflect on Heaps’s career, share stories from across women’s soccer, and cover the USWNT star’s move from OL Lyonnes to the Denver Summit.

The show will premiere on Wednesday, March 25 and be aired monthly.

“Soccer has shaped my identity both personally and professionally, and I’m thrilled to be able to bring my voice and my love for the sport to the Men in Blazers Media Network,” said Heaps.

“This is a chance to reflect on my own career, highlight incredible talent changing the game, and dig into defining moments that show what it really takes to lead and grow as a player. By working with Sam Mewis and The Women’s Game, we’ll be able to connect with even more fans and continue championing the sport together,” said Heaps.

Heaps was part of the Women’s World Cup-winning USWNT team in 2019, and was named US Soccer Female Player of the Year in 2021. She was captain of the Olympic Gold Medal-winning USWNT team in 2024. She currently plays for OL Lyonnes, and will return to the NWSL with her hometown expansion team, Denver Summit FC, in the summer.

“Lindsey is one of the greatest soccer players and one of the greatest soccer players and leaders of our generation, and her career is a testament to her growth and passion for the sport,” said Mewis. “Her knowledge, perspective, and love for soccer make her the perfect person to lead these conversations. Having her join The Women’s Game is a huge moment for us as we continue to grow and expand our coverage of women’s soccer across the network.”

“Our goal with The Women’s Game is to make it the biggest and most informed community for women’s football fans in the United States and emotional storytelling is at the core of all we do,” said Roger Bennett, the founder and CEO of the Men in Blazers Network.

“Lindsey is a player who has won everything in football, and to have her join us, and articulate her mindset on the journey towards the biggest and most competitive World Cup in women’s football history is why we exist – to put that kind of wisdom and joy into the world,” said Bennett.
