Vermont authorities have arrested a man who stands accused of following different women to their homes before spying on them through the windows.

The Burlington Police Department have charged Sole Parkin with nine counts of voyeurism after detaining him on Monday, April 6.

Parkin, 25, is a program manager for the Winooski School District, according to an NBC5 report.

Parkin pleaded not guilty to the charges against him, Us Weekly confirmed.

A judge released him, according to reports, but with a nighttime curfew. Parkin will be required to be at home every day between the hours of 8 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., a judge ordered.

Last month, police said that multiple women reported seeing a man peering into their open windows in the city’s Hill Section neighborhood. Other women had also reported being followed by a strange man as they walked home at night, according to investigators.

“Yesterday afternoon we became aware of allegations against someone who works in a support staff role in our district,” the Winooski School District said in a statement to NBC5. “While the allegations are not related to the school district, we took immediate action out of an abundance of caution. Please be reminded that all employees are background checked and extensively vetted before receiving employment. Additionally, support staff are actively supervised by licensed personnel, and we know the whereabouts of all students at all times.”

Added the district statement: “Currently, the district has no reason to believe that anyone was exposed to risks related to the incident on the news, but we will continue to monitor the situation and review all relevant information. Student safety is our number one priority.”

Parkin’s motives are unclear. It was also unknown if he was represented by an attorney.

The Burlington Police Department said that it was only able to identify and bring Parkin to justice thanks to tips that they received from the public.

Police had been searching for Parkin for nearly a week. As part of that search, cops decided to release video footage from one of the alleged peeping incidents. Then, three days ago, they shared new surveillance photos showing the suspected peeper in better lighting.

Police said that they continue to investigate the allegations. Detectives have asked residents to review their doorbell camera’s footage, to see if they notice Parkin skulking about.

Additionally, if you believe that you may be a victim of Parkin’s, you are urged to contact the Burlington Police Department at (802) 658-2704, or Detective Corporal Zach Beal at (802) 540-2364.
