INGLEWOOD, Calif. – Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano got a last look at each other Friday just over 24 hours from sharing the cage in the Rousey vs. Carano headliner on Netflix.
UFC Hall of Famer Rousey (12-2) and former MMA fighter turned entertainment star Carano (7-1) will both make their returns from extremely extended hiatuses when they meet in a five-round women’s featherweight bout at Intuit Dome.
It’s been a tumultuous journey to fight night for both women in their own ways, but now the time for hype and talking has come to a close after they participated in a final staredown at ceremonial weigh-ins.
The respectful attitude has remained consistent since the fight was announced, but it was clear that both Rousey and Carano can tell the runway for pleasantries is over.
