Why Jayden Higgins is a ridiculously undervalued fantasy WR

The fantasy market is often unimaginative because it plays it safe. In Houston, Nico Collins is the unquestioned alpha receiver. Jayden Higgins is viewed as a fringe streamer at best. Here’s why the fantasy market needs to catch up.

Collins’ current ADP is 25 overall / WR10. He’s a late-second / early-third round draft pick and a seemingly automatic weekly fantasy starter. He’s earned this after three straight seasons with 1,000+ receiving yards and six or more touchdowns.

Jayden Higgins’ ADO is overall-141 / WR55. He’s only marginally ahead of Tank Dell (overall-170 / WR60), who’s still recovering from a devastating 2024 injury. Jaylin Noel (overall-285 / WR95) is battling an injury, while Xavier Hutchinson (overall-570 / WR182) offers low-ceiling support if he’s forced to start.

The problem here is that the market is unable to quantify Higgins’ likely ascension. The 2025 second-round draft pick had a strong rookie campaign, reeling in 41 passes on 68 targets for 525 yards and six scores. He was fourth in targets per game, lagging behind Collins, Dalton Schultz, and even a declining Christian Kirk. Despite that, Higgins was the overall WR47.

Now the market believes he’ll somehow regress, despite being primed for a more permanent #2 role. It’s quite possible that Collins has never played alongside a wideout as talented as Higgins. How might that impact Collins’ fantasy output? We’re about to find out.

Higgins is ridiculously undervalued. He should be rostered in every league. At worst, he should be a weekly streamer. At best, he’ll prompt managers to wonder whether Collins really is the unquestioned alpha.
