A WOMAN who died after allegedly being punched outside a bar has been pictured – with a teenager now charged over the horror attack.
Lisa Denton, 40, was rushed to hospital in critical condition with a head injury shortly after 10pm on Saturday.
She tragically died on Sunday, the morning after the incident.
It is understood that Lisa was punched in the face during the alleged assault on Russell Street in the North Shields area of North Tyneside.
Local cops have now arrested and charged Liam Moor, 19, on suspicion of murder.
The teenager, from Telford Street in the East Howdon area, has been remanded in custody and is expected to appear before Bedlington Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
A woman, believed to be in her 50s, was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
She has been released on bail as cops continue their investigation.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector, Mark Atherton, said: “This is an incredibly tragic incident where a woman has sadly lost her life.
“Our thoughts remain firmly with Lisa’s loved ones at this time. We will continue to support them as they try to navigate a life without Lisa.”
He added: “With proceedings now active, we would ask that the public avoid speculation, both online and in the community, and respect the ongoing legal process.”
