THE victim of an ongoing murder investigation has been named.

Jennifer Symonds, 44, a senior customer success account manager at Microsoft, was found dead in Henley-on-Thames on Friday, March 6.

Thames Valley Police were scrambled to Phyllis Court Drive in Henley-on-Thames on Friday after receiving reports that a woman had died.

A body was sadly recovered from the water, prompting detectives to launch a murder investigation.

Cops, forensics officers and police divers were seen scouring the river for evidence in the wake of the tragedy.

A post-mortem carried out on Sunday recorded the woman’s cause of death as drowning.

Following the grim discovery Nelio Gouveia, 44, was arrested in connection with the woman’s death.

He remained in police custody as the murder probe continued and has since been charged with one count of murder, cops said.

Her next of kin are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers.
