You Can Stream Certain Peacock Shows for Free on United Airlines Now

United Airlines passengers can now stream certain content from Peacock as a new in-flight channel.

United said Friday that the NBCUniversal streaming service will be available starting on May 1 on seat-back screens on more than 800 planes. Passengers can also watch for free on personal devices using the United mobile app.

Some Peacock originals will be available at launch, including The Traitors (Season 4) and All Her Fault. Other shows, including The Copenhagen Test and Ponies, are expected in June. A United Airlines representative told CNET the content will be refreshed regularly, with updated programming and title rotations continuing over time. Shows and movies will be the same on domestic and international flights.

Peacock joins other United inflight channels, including HBO Max, A24 and Spotify. Last August, United started offering complete seasons of Apple TV Plus shows, like Severance. The airline said its in-flight library includes more than 450 movies and more than 1,000 TV episodes.

It’s not clear whether Peacock’s live sports — including Sunday night games across professional baseball, basketball and football, along with this weekend’s Kentucky Derby — will be available to passengers during flights. Peacock did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
