A 1-year-old boy was bitten on his back – allegedly by his grandmother’s boyfriend – inside the man’s Bronx apartment overnight Monday, cops and sources said.
The baby was bitten around 2 a.m. inside the bedroom of the man’s sub-basement apartment on Fillmore Street near Morris Park Avenue in Van Nest, according to authorities and law enforcement sources.
The older couple had brought the child into the room because loud music was playing elsewhere in the home, according to the sources.
The boy’s mom rushed inside the bedroom when she heard her son screaming and the grandmother asking her boyfriend why he did that, the sources said.
The tot’s mom then left with the child and brought him onto the subway heading toward Lincoln Medical Center, according to the sources.
She called 911 from the East 149th Street and Third Avenue subway station to report what had happened, the sources said.
Video from the scene shows the baby drinking from a bottle in a stroller while the distressed mom spoke with several cops outside the station.
The child was taken to the hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.
His skin was not broken, but he did have teeth marks on his back, according to the sources.
No arrests had been made several hours later, authorities said.
