Elliot Page is ready to rumble after undergoing some intense boxing training.

The Academy Award nominee, 39, revealed via Instagram on Monday, June 29, that stepping into the squared circle with boxing trainer Nolan Hanson got him into peak physical condition, complete with six-pack abs.

“I’ve been incredibly fortunate to train with @coachnol,” Page wrote. “He’s a brilliant teacher, not just in the way he breaks down complex movements, but also in his strategic understanding of boxing and his thoughtful approach to the psychological side of the sport.”

A video shared by the actor showed him bobbing and weaving in the ring, while throwing some impressive jabs and uppercuts at his coach.

“Training with Nolan has become an essential part of my life,” the actor went on. “If you’re in NYC and looking, I can’t recommend him highly enough. Just be warned, you may end up getting as hooked as I am.”

Per his website, Hanson started boxing at the New Bed-Stuy Boxing Center under Charles Trammell and Nate Boyd before learning Soviet-style boxing from esteemed coach Talap Mamyrkanov.

“Nolan’s educational and personal background informs his work as a coach. He sees boxing as more than just a sport,” Hanson bio read. “To him, it is a tool for building confidence, creating community, fostering mentorship, and creating opportunities for personal growth.”

Page is no stranger to flashing his abs, as he previously shared a shirtless photo in November 2021 to celebrate nearly one year since publicly coming out as trans.

In December 2020, the actor came out as trans and expressed “overwhelming gratitude” for those who’d supported him throughout his transition.

“I can’t begin to express how remarkable it feels to finally love who I am enough to pursue my authentic self,” the Umbrella Academy star wrote in an open letter at the time.

He went on, “I love that I am trans. And I love that I am queer. And the more I hold myself close to fully embrace who I am, the more I dream, the more my heart grows and the more I thrive. To all trans people who deal with harassment, self-loathing, abuse and the threat of violence every day: I see you, I love you and I will do everything I can to change this world for the better.”

Just over a year later, Page celebrated feeling “trans joy” when he walked the red carpet at the Oscars in March 2022 wearing a tuxedo.

“I feel the best I’ve ever felt. I feel the way that I really never thought was possible,” the Juno star told trans activists Raquel Willis and Chase Strangio. “I know the challenges I’ve gone through and I know how difficult it has been for me. The enormous amount of privilege, the enormous amount of resources I’ve had absolutely, unequivocally saved my life — from therapy to surgery and so many things between.”

Page will be on the big screen this summer in director Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of Homer’s ancient epic The Odyssey, in which he’ll play the Greek soldier Sinon. The Odyssey — which will also star Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway and Robert Pattinson — opens on July 17.
