Ex-Miss North Carolina USA Brittany Boltinhouse’s family reportedly slammed pageant organizers for “saving face” after the former beauty queen was stripped of her title over alleged racist social media posts.
“I think it’s important to put her truth out and have the proper narrative out versus a narrative that is saving the face [of] an organization,” a relative told the Daily Mail, marking the first public words from Boltinhouse’s camp since her sudden dethronement Wednesday.
“As you can imagine, there’s a lot we would like to say but we are taking the time to be in prayer and unity and [will] respond in a manner [that] God calls us to,” the family member added.
Boltinhouse, 27, was formally ousted after bosses at A-Blaize Productions, which oversees the Miss North Carolina USA pageant, conducted “a thorough review of recently surfaced information,” the group announced in a statement.
The former beauty queen, who lives in Wilmington, allegedly used the N-word multiple times and referred to herself as “toxic” in a slew of resurfaced social media posts under the username Sosa the Stallion between 2017 and 2019, according to the NC Beat.
Boltinhouse has yet to address the allegations publicly.
Her removal has sent shockwaves through the beauty pageant world and “caused a lot of pain,” a fellow contestant previously told The Post.
The coveted crown was handed over to Miss North Carolina USA’s first runner-up, Myla Hadley, immediately following Boltinhouse’s ouster.
