In-N-Out managers are making a fortune as company reveals new six-figure salaries

That’s a lotta flippin’ money.

In-N-Out has revealed the shocking six-figure salaries of managers at the classic California-based fast food chain. The company confirmed to Inc. that managers now make an average of $200,000 per year.

“Our founders, Harry and Esther Snyder, believed not only in taking great care of our Customers, but also in taking really great care of our Associates,” an In-N-Out spokesperson told the publication.

“Their philosophy was to treat Associates like family and strive to be an outstanding employer, and paying higher-than-normal wages was one important part of that philosophy,” they continued.

That means In-N-Out managers are making more than the average software engineer or accountant living in the Golden State, according to the article.

Data from Indeed reveals that the current average base salary for a fast food manager in California is just $68,774.

The growing burger giant added that under current owner and president Lynsi Snyder, they are focused on offering employees competitive pay, strong benefits, a positive work culture, and opportunities for growth within the company.

They also revealed that the average In-N-Out store floor wrangler stays with the company for more than 15 years —  reportedly about 7x the amount of time of the average manager at a quick-service restaurant stays in their role.

Salaries in the company have increased over the years.

In 2018, Forbes reported that the average manager at the company made about $163,000, in addition to receiving profit-sharing.

And the higher-ups aren’t the only ones being paid well.

In-N-Out is known for paying above minimum wage to entry-level employees, and credits this as a reason for their high retention levels.

Other popular chains have gone down a similar path in recent years.

Cult-favorite gas station Bu-cee’s, based in Texas, is well-known among fans for its help wanted advertisements that show the generous hourly pay employees can earn.

The company went viral for a sign over the summer advertising a management position, no training required, with a salary of up to $275,000.
